Dr. Albrecht Classen is University Distinguished Professor of German Studies at the University of Arizona, focusing on the Middle Ages and early modern times. He has published currently 127 books and close to 800 articles. He has translated numerous medieval works into modern German and English, and also several modern German texts into English. He is the editor of the journals Mediaevistik, Humanities, and Current Research Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities. He was knighted in 2017, and received a Fulbright in 2022.
